DAMON SYSTEMA - Ate:

Thematisch geht es nicht ums Essen, sondern um die griechische Göttin Ate, die Göttin der Verblendung. Mit diesem Hintergrund entwickelt sich das Album vom ruhigen, bedrohlichen Beginn des Openers 'Moirae' bis zum episch-metallischen Ende von 'Poenas Dare' in nur sechs Stücken über vierundvierzig Minuten zu einem Gesamtwerk, das insgesamt mehr ist, als die einzelnen Stücke, die allesamt ansprechend und spannend sind. Schon aufgrund ihrer Länge und Abwechslung erfordert es ein paar Durchgänge, bevor man sie zu kennen beginnt. Dann entwickeln sie einen jeweils eigenen Chatakter, der sich zu Beginn wegen der Komplexität des Materials noch nicht einzustellen vermag. "Ate" ist ein absolut gelungenes Album einer neuen Band, die uns allen nicht unter dem Radar durchrutschen sollte. (Frank Jäger)

Damon Systema – Ate (Theogonia Records) Oι Αθηναίοι Damon Systema δημιουργήθηκαν πίσω στο 2009 από τον Άκη Πάστρα, όμως μπήκαν “στον πάγο” λόγω υποχρεώσεων του με τους εξαιρετικούς Dexter Ward.
