Focal Project Managers

Focal Project Managers is seeking an experienced Design Manager/Senior Architect for luxury resort development projects. The role involves leading and coordinating the design process from concept through construction documentation, managing consultants, ensuring alignment with project scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards, and supporting design issue resolution throughout the project lifecycle.

Candidates should hold a degree in Architecture, have at least 10 years of experience in design management or multidisciplinary coordination. Excellent Greek and English communication skills are required.

Design Manager

Focal is a leading project management and cost consulting company which operates in South Eastern Europe and is involved with diverse & high profile projects in the private sector.

We are looking to recruit a Design Manager with extensive experience of delivering schemes upward of €10M. The Design Manager will be based in the Athens Office reporting to the project lead and working alongside established Focal project teams.

The specific requirements of the position include:
Degree in Architecture or Engineering disciplines
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in consulting and/or construction environment
Driving all design related project outcomes
Providing specific technical expertise in design management and act as focal point for all technical design related matters on projects
Working closely with the team leader to produce the project specific designer agreements, ensuring the designer’s scope of works and design responsibilities are clearly defined an understood
Liaising with the project controls engineer to produce, agree and manage a realistic design programme to satisfy procurement and construction requirements
Ability to effectively communicate in Fluent English and Greek both verbally and in writing
Office presence mandatory (Monday to Friday)
Greek Residence Permit
