HX - Henna Räsänen is a Finnish, Berlin-based non-binary and q***r comic artist whose work explores social norms and the looming climate catastrophe through offbeat, prickly humor. Their work depict subcultures and q***r communities in a rapidly eroding world, while addressing contemporary political climates with both tactics and optimism.
In their ink drawings dark and troubled waltzes with hope and urban topographies sink into forestation as punk rock blasts through the northern landscapes.
They’ve been a part of multiple collectives and art groups from Alter Finanzamt (2016-2020) to Comic Invasion Berlin Festival (2020-20224) in many different curatorial roles.
