How to get to Elounda, Crete?

Elounda, tucked away on Crete's eastern coast, is a charming fishing village that is ideal for a relaxed seaside vacation.

Ferries leave Piraeus, near Athens, every day. During the summer, there may be as many as four trips every day. You can go from Piraeus to Heraklion Port during the day or overnight.

The cruise takes between 5 and 8 hours, and there's nothing quite like waking up at a new port in the morning. If you're traveling overnight, a cabin is the most comfortable option, but reclining seats are also available. During the day, you can relax on the deck or in one of the bars or lounges while taking in some fresh sea air.

You'll need to go east from Heraklion to Elounda once you arrive. The most convenient option is to rent a car and drive yourself. A 75-euro airport cab can be obtained from the stand outside arrivals. Another option is to use the shuttle bus, which costs 25 euros per person and is a cheaper option if your group is only 1 or 2 people.

How to get to Koufonissi Island for a peaceful summer holiday?
From April 17 you can find daily ferry itinerary to the island. But until April 17, every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday you can get on ferry board from Piraeus to this little Cyclades Island.
By the way there are up and down (apo, kato) 2 Koufonissi islands. The ferries arrive to Apo Koufonisia, if you want to go to Kato Koufonisia, you need to get on local boats.

Ferry to Kalymnos Island ⛴

Kalymnos is the Dodecanese's fourth largest island. It is surrounded by peaceful islets, some of which are only home to sheep and goats, while others have a few residences and tavernas. The Kalymnian scenery is rugged, with thyme, sage, and oregano-scented mountain sides. The fertile valleys, especially Vathi, with its blue fiord and quiet citrus trees, provide a nice contrast.

The island of Kalymnos is well recognized for being the home of the world's best sponge divers. Kalymnos is also a wonderful starting point for exploring the adjacent islands. Day trips are possible to Patmos, Lipsi, Leros, Kos, and Nisiros.
