Fine Design

The publication FIX Residences introduces a residential project within the FIX redevelopment in Thessaloniki, developed by Dimand and designed by Foster + Partners as part of their masterplan for the former FIX brewery site.

In the book’s design, we chose to emphasise craftsmanship in the binding by leaving the spine exposed, referencing the poetics of structure—a recurring theme in Fosters’ architectural language. Carefully selected textures and colours translate the apartments’ material quality and atmosphere into a tactile printed form.

The brand identity for FIX Thessaloniki, commissioned by DIMAND, reflects the transformation of the historic FIX brewery into a new urban landmark. The minimal, geometric logo draws inspiration from the arch — a defining architectural element of the site and a symbolic reference to the historic Western entrance of Thessaloniki. This gesture connects the project to both its industrial past and the masterplan envisioned by Foster + Partners. The deep brick-red colour palette echoes the ceramic materials of the original industrial buildings, honouring the heritage of the area while projecting a clear, contemporary vision for its future.

Echoes of Tomorrow is a limited edition, hand-numbered book designed as a gift for DCarbon’s clients and collaborators. Inspired by the distilled visual language of children’s books, it’s small, square, and printed on heavy stock with graphic illustrations. Through its tactile form and simple, deliberate design, the book turns sustainability into a vivid, playful experience—a quiet reflection on how design can reimagine the world we build.

This foldout leaflet was designed specifically for The House with the Mill — Art Residency Programme 2024-2025, in the context of the exhibition 'Traces on the Landscape' taking place in Andros 2/8-10.8.2025. It accompanies the work of four participating artists, and its format was conceived to allow for four different front covers—each one highlighting an individual artistic voice.
