I live in Greece, happily. Write poetry & essays (memoir) and translate from modern Greek to English.

Forgot to mention the 20 euro fee for participants in the earlier announcement, which includes a copy of my memoir.

Workshop limited to 15 participants, so come early.

Still, hoping to see you there.

Just back from a fine three days in Bitola, N. Macedonia, where I participated in their 13th annual literary festival. Many thanks to Mihajlo Sviderski, his fellow organizers, writers and attendees, all of whom helped open my eyes, ears and heart to the rewards and struggles for Balkan writer today.

Friday's sessions included AUTH students reading Ashbery poems and their (fine) translations, the keynote speech by Tatiani, panel presentations by Vasiliki Misiou, Moira Egan, Giorgos Alisanoglou and George K. Michaelidis on "John Ashbery & Translation," and two afternoon translation workshops, introduced by Liana Skelliou, and coordinated by her and Vasilis Papageorgiou.

Here are a few pics from Zoom Central, with Tatiani Rapatzikou in the pilot’s seat.
