Rome, Siena, Florence, and Bologna — a short autumn tour, a small break from the present, an ode to the art of the Middle Ages. Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Caravaggio, and Botticelli were some of the artists I explored. I’m ready to return to my own fabric canvas and finish what I started for the winter.

Μαζί θα μάθουμε ποια υφάσματα είναι κατάλληλα για επεξεργασία με φυσικές βαφές, πώς γίνεται η σωστή προετοιμασία των υφασμάτων για τα καλύτερα χρωματικά αποτελέσματα, ποια φυτά ταιριάζουν σε κάθε τεχνική και ποια είναι η σωστή φροντίδα μετά τη βαφή.

It’s the second time I’ve created such a dark garment. This time it was a custom order — a silk kimono.

This piece was created using fabrics dyed at different times and with different techniques, then seamlessly integrated into the pattern.

As time goes by and I experiment with color palettes that seem almost impossible to achieve, I find myself loving the challenge of being given difficult colors to work with.

Wrapped in silk, I surrender to the endless calm of the sea.

This photoshoot took place last year, just before summer slipped away, and I wanted to share it with you.
We used a silk kimono that was soaked in seawater. Since many of you ask about the durability of the colors — no, nothing happened to them, but I wouldn’t recommend trying it!
