So I just need to vent about Mostly Dead Things…. I know I did in my stories but I need to do it in a post too 🥹😂

I was really invested in the story at first, but I just couldn’t get past some things. The author spent so much time showing us the lives of the other family members and how they were all affected by the father committing su***de, the love interest running off with a random man and leaving her kids behind and then, out of nowhere, she just wraps up the main character’s journey of moving on but completely skips over how the other characters healed too!! I need to know what happened to Milo!! To Bastien?? Lolee and Libby????

Like, you took your sweet time getting me invested in everyone else, and then I get Jessa’s ending only? Not cool! Also, the cheating trope? disgusting 🤮. And btw the chapters are so longggg! I’d honestly rather read a 1000page book with short chapters than a shorter book with long chapters 😒😒😒

FYI!! Even though I have beef with this book, I still loved it a lot 😂. I just love me some sad, messy characters dealing with life’s struggles in the most real way possible! It honestly gave me similar vibes to some of my other favorite books (I’ll share them in a post soon🙊).
