Υπάρχει μια φράση του Βαγγέλη Παπαθανασίου που έχω πάντα στο μυαλό μου: «Όταν η μουσική οδηγεί τον συνθέτη έχουμε αρμονία, όταν ο συνθέτης οδηγεί τη μουσική έχουμε εμπόριο».
Σκοπός μου είναι να δημιουργήσω έναν «χώρο» για τον ακροατή. Έναν χώρο όπου οι ρυθμοί πέφτουν και η σκέψη μπορεί να αναπνεύσει ξανά – κάτι που πιστεύω ότι λείπει απεγνωσμένα από την εποχή μας.
Με μεγάλη χαρά είδα σήμερα τη δουλειά μου να φιλοξενείται στο "Sessions" του διεθνούς φήμης Ambient.Zone. Μια επιλογή από τις μουσικές μου στιγμές, δοσμένη με απόλυτο σεβασμό στον ήχο, χωρίς λόγια, μόνο με μουσική.

There is a quote by Vangelis that I always keep in mind: "When music leads the composer, we have harmony; when the composer leads the music, we have commerce."
My goal is to create a "space" for the listener. A space where the pace slows down and the mind can breathe again—something I believe is desperately missing from our times.

Όταν η μουσική δεν χρειάζεται μετάφραση, αλλά χρειάζεται... αφτιά.
Είναι κάποιες φορές που αναρωτιέμαι για την περίεργη εσωστρέφεια της εγχώριας σκηνής.
Στην Ελλάδα συχνά παλεύουμε με ταμπέλες, "στεγανά" και έναν ιδιότυπο σνομπισμό, την ίδια στιγμή που οι ηχητικές διαδρομές που ξεκινάς σε ένα στούντιο εδώ, βρίσκουν τον δρόμο τους στα πιο απαιτητικά αφτιά του εξωτερικού.
Είναι τουλάχιστον οξύμωρο να βλέπεις μέσα όπως για παράδειγμα το Stationary Travels ή το Headphone Commute μέχρι τα ραδιόφωνα του San Francisco (SomaFM), το Grenzwellen στην Γερμανία και τις κινηματογραφικές αναφορές σε διεθνή φεστιβάλ να τοποθετούν τις συνθέσεις σου στις ίδιες λίστες και ανασκοπήσεις δίπλα σε ονόματα όπως ο Max Richter, ο Nils Frahm ή ο Ólafur Arnalds.
Εκεί, η μουσική κρίνεται με μοναδικό κριτήριο την ατμόσφαιρα, την ειλικρίνεια και την τεχνική — από τη vintage modular synthesis μέχρι τη δυσκολία του concurrent recording.
Η ambient και η neoclassical σκηνή έχουν μια κοινή παγκόσμια γλώσσα. Μια γλώσσα που δεν γνωρίζει σύνορα, αλλά απαιτεί προσήλωση. Ευχαριστώ όσους από κάθε γωνιά του πλανήτη "ακούμπησαν" τη μουσική μου.
Το ταξίδι συνεχίζεται, με την ίδια μελαγχολική ειλικρίνεια.
