Experimental validation campaigns are planned for the pilot plant scale-up. These tests will assess the applicator and filter performances under high-temperature operating conditions, considering material property variability, manufacturing tolerances and applicator rotation effects.

The trials will also verify compliance with European safety directives regarding microwave leakage.

Results from the dielectric characterization during in-situ microwave heating up to 1200°C will be disseminated through a peer-reviewed scientific publication and presented at the AMPERE Society conference expected in September 2027.

New progress has been achieved in studying how raw materials and their mixtures behave during microwave heating up to 1200°C. This work helps better understand their properties and supports more efficient processing.

The results have also helped improve the design of the microwave applicator, enabling better energy distribution and higher energy efficiency during continuous material processing.
