Watch a monitor lizard predate a sea turtle nest on remote beaches of Bioko Island! Footage captured from camera traps shows that lizards are regularly predating turtle nests throughout their nesting season. On occasion, drill monkeys visited nests that were already dug up by lizards but were never found to actually dig the nest up themselves.
This research was presented at the International Sea Turtle Symposium this year in Cartagena, Columbia. :)
