RifCom is a Gibraltar registered charity created to assist the impoverished communities of the Rif
RifCom, a non-profit, non-religious organisation is run by volunteers from Gibraltar and Spain who are committed to assisting their neighbours across the Straits of Gibraltar, the impoverished rural communities of the Rif Mountains of Northern Morocco.

Some people go on holiday and switch off.
Jock takes a RifCom T-shirt, a mountain bike and a level of chaos that should probably require supervision.
Currently hurtling downhill through Nepal on holiday, whilst still proudly flying the RifCom flag wherever he goes.
Total liability. Huge heart. One of the great characters of the RifCom family.
And that’s the thing about RifCom — there’s no one way to support it.

He’s back! 🚴
After 7 months and 6,000km cycling across South America, Dom has finally made it home.
A long-time supporter, fundraiser and friend of RifCom, Dom has taken on this incredible adventure while raising funds for the communities we support in the Rif Mountains of Morocco.

Months after the devastating storms, recovery in the Rif is still ongoing.
The challenges are real — but so is the determination.
Those who have travelled to visit the communities speak of the deep emotion they felt — witnessing both the damage and the extraordinary resilience of the people.
Teachers keep walking.
Children keep learning.
Communities keep going.

At RifCom, we are proud that 100% of the money donated goes directly to projects in the Rif (except for bank charges). As a charity run entirely by volunteers, we are able to use the funds we receive where they are truly needed most.
This is especially important in moments when communities face urgent challenges. During the recent landslides in the Rif, we were able to respond quickly by working alongside the Moroccan Red Crescent to support emergency assistance on the ground.
It’s a powerful example of how donations can be turned into real help when it is needed most.

Building a New Primary School
When a local primary school was found to be crumbling, dangerous and unusable, RifCom worked with the community and local associations to build a new modern school facility.
Today the school provides education for more than 250 students every year, standing proudly in the landscape as a beacon of hope for the surrounding communities.

The roads to Tanaquob Primary School were destroyed by the landslides.
But the teachers still show up.
They drive as far as they can, walk across the impassable section, and are collected on the other side — all to keep teaching their pupils.
Such dedication. Every single day.
