We are the library of Loreto Convent School, Gibraltar, a co-educational independent junior school catering for over 450 boys and girls from nursery to 12 years. Each week we will be recommending books for all levels of reading and including wherever possible free audio or activity links. These are to enable you to discuss the book with your child and to see if they have read and understood the book. This is something we do with the children when they come to the library. We hope that we can help you encourage your child to read for pleasure by guiding them to books that they will enjoy. If they pick up a book they want to read, they are more likely to continue reading. As well as our reading recommendations we hope to keep you up to date with all the great online story and poetry reading initiatives that many of your favourite children’s authors and illustrators are posting. Added to that will be poems and fun facts and quizzes along the way.
