Some people attend events. Others leave a lasting impression.

At the 6th Model ECOWAS Summit, we were privileged to welcome Fatu Tarawally Esq., State Counsel/Legal โ€“ Office of the President and Office of the Chief Minister of the Republic of Sierra Leone.

Her presence brought more than expertise; it brought perspective, inspiration, and a powerful reminder of what is possible when young Africans commit themselves to service, leadership, and nation-building.

Through her engagement with delegates, she encouraged a generation of young leaders to think beyond borders, embrace responsibility, and pursue excellence in all they do.

Thank you, Fatu, for journeying from Sierra Leone to share your knowledge, experience, and passion with us. Your contribution enriched the Summit and inspired many young people across West Africa.

Some leaders inherit opportunities. Others create them.

Some people attend a summit.

Others become part of its story.

For 10 years, Chief Akande has stood with the Model ECOWAS Summit through the challenges, the growth, the milestones, and the many young lives that have been impacted along the way.

A decade of commitment.
A decade of service.
A decade of believing in the power of youth leadership and regional integration.

While many see the Summit for what it is today, few fully appreciate the individuals whose dedication helped shape the journey.

Chief Akande is one of those individuals.

Thank you for your unwavering support, wisdom, and commitment over the years. Your contribution is woven into the very fabric of the Summit's legacy.

Ten years later, your impact continues to be felt across borders, generations, and communities.

Here's to a decade of service and the many lives you have helped inspire along the way.

Some journeys begin with a registration form.

Others begin with a decision so powerful that distance becomes irrelevant.

When Ashley Nigel Constant Thomas set out from Sierra Leone to attend the 6th Model ECOWAS Summit in Accra, Ghana, he embarked on a journey that took four (4)days by road across borders, challenges, and countless miles.

Why?

Because he believed in the value of learning.
Because he believed in the power of leadership.
Because he believed that opportunities are worth pursuing.

His journey reminds us that greatness is often found in the sacrifices people are willing to make for their dreams.

Ashley didn't just attend the Summit. He embodied its spirit.

To Ashley, thank you for inspiring us all. Your determination, resilience, and commitment to personal growth will be remembered long after the Summit has ended.

The future belongs to those who are willing to go the extra mile and you literally did.

Sometimes leadership reveals itself quietly.

It shows up in the hours spent preparing. In the courage to speak when it matters. In the ability to bring people together around a common purpose.

At the 6th Model ECOWAS Summit, Alfreda A. Toomey did exactly that.

As Head of Delegation for the Republic of Liberia, she led her team with distinction, helping Liberia emerge as Best Delegation.

Her performance, diplomacy, leadership, and engagement throughout the Summit also earned her the prestigious Best Head of State Award.

These awards were not won in a moment. They were earned through preparation, conviction, and a commitment to excellence.

Congratulations, Alfreda. Your journey at the Summit was a reminder that when young women lead with purpose, they inspire an entire generation to believe in what is possible.

Some moments elevate an event. Some guests leave a lasting impression.

At the 6th Model ECOWAS Summit, we were privileged to welcome H.E. Mohamed Hassan Kaisamba, High Commissioner of the Republic of Sierra Leone to Ghana, as our Special Guest.

His presence, wisdom, and engagement with delegates from across West Africa reinforced the importance of diplomacy, regional cooperation, and youth leadership in shaping the future of our continent.

More importantly, his participation sent a powerful message to every young person in the room: that their voices matter, their ideas matter, and their leadership matters.

To His Excellency, thank you for honouring us with your presence and for inspiring the next generation of African leaders.

What happens when the Speaker of Parliament takes time out of his busy national schedule to speak directly to young people?

You get a room filled with inspiration.
You get minds challenged to think bigger.
You get a generation reminded that leadership is not tomorrow's responsibilityโ€”it is today's calling.

At the Opening Plenary of the 6th Model ECOWAS Summit, we had the distinct honour of hosting Rt. Hon. Alban Kingsford Sumana Bagbin, Speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Ghana, as our Keynote Speaker.

His presence was more than an appearance. It was a powerful vote of confidence in the potential of young people across West Africa.

To Rt. Hon. Speaker Bagbin, thank you for believing in youth leadership, for sharing your wisdom, and for inspiring a generation determined to lead with purpose, integrity, and courage.

This is a moment we will never forget. ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ญ๐ŸŒโค๏ธ

Some leaders speak. Others inspire.

At the 6th Model ECOWAS Summit, Adewale Temitope Oluwatosin, Head of Delegation for the Republic of The Gambia, brought passion, insight, and purpose to every conversation she was part of.

Through dialogue, diplomacy, and leadership, she reminded us that the future of West Africa will be shaped by young people who are bold enough to lead and committed enough to serve.

A beautiful moment. A remarkable leader. A proud representative of The Gambia. ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ฒ
