Religious bo***ge VRS holiness

2 Corinthians 11:3-4
3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
4 For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.
NOW LET’S THINK ABOUT THIS
The Pharisees stayed away from some sins stated in the law but they were not holy.
Their perception of sin was myopic.
The Bible says without holiness no man shall see God.Holiness is a must for a Christian but it is not achieved through human effort.
Before Jesus came to die,people were obeying the law but it never restored the relationship between man and God.
There is a reason for Jesus dying on the cross.
You cannot bypass this reason and be restored back to the father.
So Jesus said “I am THE WAY,THE TRUTH AND LIFE. NO ONE COMES TO THE FATHER EXCEPT THROUGH ME”.
If anyone could get to the father without Jesus,then the Pharisees would not need to repent of anything.
Think deep!!!!!
A man who has not accepted the grace that comes through Christ cannot be called holy no matter how law abiding he is.
Without Grace,nothing you do in Christianity is valid. Never forget this!
Jesus never called the Pharisees holy despite the fact that they obeyed the 613 laws.
Because holiness is not strict adherence to laws per say just as following Christ does not necessarily make you a true disciple until you have accepted Him as Lord.
Judas Iscariot followed Jesus but he never recognized Jesus as Lord.
SOME QUESTIONS FOR YOU
1.Does God have a standard He considers before calling anyone perfect?
2.. What’s the standard?
Job 1:8
And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?
Note: (1) A man that escheweth evil.
Job was called perfect by God not because he had some strict laws to follow but he feared God and eschewed evil.
God never mentioned anything here that has to do with the religiousity of Job.
There were times Job did sacrifices but Gid never mentioned that.
Think carefully about this.
Question: Why then do people hide behind the tag “holiness” and do so much evil yet they are hailed as holy men of God?
Is that not a deception?
Since when did God become pleased with the evil of so called “holy men” and endorsed it?
Are you saying the eyes of the Lord is now pleased to watch and endorse the evil of man?
Note: The Pharisees were not murdering,fornicating and stealing but they did not fear God.
Don’t judge a book by its cover.
Not all that glitters is gold.
Charisma does not put anyone right with God
Charisma is not godliness.
A holy man is not the one who follows the law strictly but the man who fears God.
What is the essence of you don’t wear wedding rings,ear rings and short skirts but full of evil?
Is He not a God who looks into the heart?
How far can your eyes go?
Can you see beyond what men see?
Why don’t you fear the God who sees beyond what mortal men see?
Will you call a Hindu man Holy just because because he follows exactly what is written in the 613 laws of Moses?
If a man can be perfect through the law without Christ,then why did Jesus have to die.
The law was given after Adam and Eve had sinned but the law never restored man back to God except Christ.
Jesus came to do what the law could not do.
Without Christ, your strict adherence to laws will mean nothing on that day you stand before Christ.
Don’t let anyone deceive you to believe that religious bo***ge equals holiness.
No one has ever practiced religious bo***ge and was put right before God.
The danger of teaching the law and asking people to follow the law is that you will be judged according to the law.
If you fall in your obedience to one law,you have violated all.
Think about this.
Can you be bold enough yo stand before God and defend these 613 laws on that day?
How can you escape such a judgement?
Even if the Pharisees who are best keepers of the law failed,how much more you a Ghanaian who lights fire and take public transport on sabbath?
Don’t be wise in your own eyes.
Repent and receive the grace that comes through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Stop calling yourself “holiness”
What identifies you as a true disciple of Christ is LOVE.
Stop the hatred,backbiting and evil stuffs you do in the secret.God cannot be mocked.
A heart that has not been purged cannot reflect Christ on the outside.
If you could pay the price by your own righteousness,God Himself wouldn’t have come down to die.
Holiness is nit a call to bo***ge.
Yes,we must live a holy life for Christ but we can’t be holy without Christ.
Teach people to have Christ and do not become great masters of the law unto them.
John 12:48
He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.
Question:
Who would you follow?
Moses or Jesus Christ?
The shadow or the reality?

Do you think the Pharisees would be happy after following the law of Moses strictly then Jesus comes to say “I am the way,the truth and the life”?
Would you say that Jesus was preventing people from obeying the law?
Since when did it become wrong directing the hearts of men to Christ than a denomination?
Since when did some Christians begin to value “church” more than “Christ” who puts the church in right standing with God.
We must renew our minds.
Would you stand for Christ or stand for your church?
