Driving Literacy Equity and Career Readiness in Underserved Communities through Libraries, Mentorship, and STEAM

📧 [email protected]

We are a network of educators across Ghana, renovating and building school libraries and nurturing the reading and writing skills of children through reading and writing clubs. We also provide mentorship and career guidance to children across Ghana. Since 2019, we have provided teaching and learning materials to eight(8) schools and orphanages in Central, Ashanti, Volta and the Greater Accra Regio

The moment a child connects subject choices to career options, everything shifts.

We were in Konongo to ensure BECE prep met real-life direction.

We didn’t just talk about “jobs.”
We talked about 21st-century careers—STEM, Creative Arts, entrepreneurship, and digital pathways, because tomorrow is already here.

Some BECE candidates don’t fail because they can’t learn.

They struggle because no one showed them what’s possible.

So we went to Konongo Mines with one message: your future is bigger than your fear.

Cohort 6 of the AI Explorers Club 🧑🏾‍💻📚 hosted right inside our library.

Learners from the Osu Presbyterian Cluster of Schools spent the past weeks exploring the world of artificial intelligence. From experimenting with AI tools to building creative solutions, these young innovators were encouraged to think beyond using technology and begin imagining how they can create with it and solve real-world problems.

We’re proud that this cohort was held inside the Osu Presbyterian Cluster of Schools Library, one of the libraries established through our iRead iLead Educational Campaign, proving once again that libraries can be powerful hubs for innovation, creativity, and future-ready learning.

Grateful to BrainWave AfricaTech Limited for leading this transformative programme. Together, we are nurturing young talent and expanding opportunities for children in underserved communities.

Happy World Book Day from Spring-UP Global Network📚

Across our libraries, from Achiase to Hohoe, children are discovering stories that reflect their identity and inspire their dreams.

Our spaces are stocked mainly with African‑authored books that promote cultural pride, STEM education, climate awareness, and career readiness, helping young learners imagine possibilities beyond the walls of their classrooms.

Thank you to all partners and volunteers helping us make reading accessible for every child.

We’re happy to join once again as the official partner for Cohort 6 of the AI Explorers Club, empowering children to explore artificial intelligence and imagine the future they want to build.

Learners from our beneficiary schools within the Osu Cluster of Schools are participating in this transformative programme.

Training sessions are being hosted at the Osu Cluster of Schools Library, renovated and opened under the WorldClass Initiative in 2022.

Through this experience, learners are gaining hands-on exposure to artificial intelligence, digital literacy, and future-ready skills that will shape their academic and professional journeys.
