A Dualistic Viewpoint

Photos from Poley.co's post 29/05/2022

The anatomy of fashion diagnoses the state of our politics and economics.

Fashion has a distinct impact on the social seams of relationships, notably in the silhouettes of clothes. Fashion, established as the prism, the essential influencing agent, through which we examine a pattern drafted, cultural, economic, and political mobility is sown with a volume of our gathered thinking fabrics.

People are bound together by their emotions. The fabric of tolerance always beads a waterline relationship.

This is exactly what Geometric ’22 displays.

Imbued with affection and support, .gh OBIAA collection offers an extension to be connected to the source; the enthusiastic and resourceful artists and artisans, who weave the long-lasting piece of art.

OBIAA “22, which I worked on as a photographer and co-producer; for Ghanaian fashion label, Geometric was more than just an audio visual fluff piece. It was all about the intent; the , , and .

Using the twi word , which means "everyone." With a cloud of unapologetic strut, this SS22 is aimed to empower the marginalized, nurture a sense of belonging, and mobilize families. This collection was weaved & stitched with a protein fiber appetite, unseaming the tangent of underappreciated diversity.

pieces are life pieces designed with a stencil edge of Ghanaian tropics, a beautiful reminiscence of culture, and lush visions of growth.

OBIAA is everyone!
GEOMETRIC is for EVERYONE!!

In the nest of imagination, there is a scene for social satisfaction in a staring society, steered by intents, mostly promiscuous or spontaneous.

Photographing for Geometric took a bite out of my scenic sense of belonging. In circles of good energy and passion, we desire to love and be loved, while valuing sincerity.

King Gyan for AMIN NIMA

Sporting the wine based colour " Transformation two-piece" which is traditionally associated with transformation. I and King Gyan took a ride to our childhood loom of fond memories, NIMA, to do a lifestyle shoot, for the Brand’s upcoming collection.

King Gyan through his trailblazing envisions a world that offers a seat at the table for the marginalized and upholds every Zongo, ghetto, and slum as a meaningful environment to settle, work and visit. This includes transforming and other communities around the world into economic and cultural hotspots by investing their Human Resources; creativity, to produce high-quality goods and services.

Sports, music, fashion, culture, media, design, the arts, and education are all threaded and woven by AMIN to promote the African renaissance.

At they recognize grandeur in every human; everyone is here for a reason, just as wine is nature's mirror, nature often serves as a mirror, letting us perceive the movement of growth, revival, and transformation in our life more clearly.

Is it healthy to be caught up in the past? Sustaining the ni****ne addiction of living in the past rather than the present, of comparing what was and what is now? Nostalgia: Defining a trait balance to help gravy emotions grow.

Domestic abuse takes the lives of three women every day. In a "global pandemic of femicide" that is partially concealed by COVID-19, 6 women are killed by men every hour.

Abuse toward women and girls is so prevalent in today's societies that it is almost invisible, and it is based on a patriarchal power structure.

When men's supremacy is threatened, they resort to violence to maintain their position of power. Male hegemony over females, and how this dominance is reflected in society's values, attitudes, rituals, expectations, and institutions, as well as how it is retained through the socialization process.

Male headship and female submissiveness are often used by abusive men to explain their actions, either directly or implicitly, insinuating that their spouses were the ones who abused them because they were not submissive, disrespected them, didn't fulfill their marital duties, and so on.

The majority of Christian women, about 50-60% of those who go to church, have been physically abused in a previous or current relationship; Despite this, only a small percentage of women feel comfortable approaching their church leaders if they are feeling threatened by their partner's harassment.

The one-third of people who go to church for help generally don't get anything. However, the church does not consider domestic violence to be an urgent issue to address, preferring to indulge in a debate to perpetuate hatred over love!
