They are simply students, not thieves, armed robbers, or illegal miners. They were engaged in a peaceful protest, advocating for their rights a very regular occurrence.

However, this is how they were treated by the Ghana Police Service. "the police is our friend" takes on a different meaning when friends are handled in this manner, despite having done nothing wrong.

To all the students who were brutalized at Tamale Technical University (TTU), I feel your pain and share in your disappointment with the Ghana Police Service's actions towards ordinary Ghanaians.
I demands action from student unions to address this unacceptable behavior by GPS. Today it's TTU; tomorrow, it could be a different institution.

As concerned members of union, we wish to use this platform to make a respectful, yet urgent appeal to Mr. Daniel Korley Botchway: please recuse yourself from the upcoming election.Our concerns arise not from personal grievance, but from a profound belief that your candidacy may inadvertently compromise the spirit of fair competition.
