This is the WamiAgro story.

A testament that farmers can achieve more when they have access to the right resources.

Through input credit, agronomic information, and market access, we are helping farmers unlock their potential and improve their livelihoods.

Every harvest tells a story of resilience, growth, and impact.

We were honoured to host Mirepa Investment Advisors, Axis Pension Trust Ltd. and CAL Asset Management Company Ltd. at our office as we continue working towards improving access, opportunity, and support for farmers across Ghana.

We value partnerships like this that believe in long-term community impact, reinforcing the importance of collaboration in building sustainable agricultural systems.

Strong community leadership drives agricultural impact further.

In the Upper West Region of Ghana, farmer leaders like Yahaya Salifu play a central role in organising communities, coordinating activities, and strengthening collective growth among smallholder farmers.

Through their leadership, stronger connections are created between farmers and the opportunities that support productivity, access, and market engagement.

WamiAgro works through existing farmer networks and leaders like Yahaya to extend access, strengthen collaboration, and expand impact across farming communities.

This is the power of collaboration rooted in community.

One effective approach is the use of organic fertilisers.

Derived from natural materials such as compost and manure, organic fertilisers help improve soil structure, support microbial activity, and strengthen overall soil health.

Key benefits of organic fertiliser application:

โœ… Improves soil health and structure

โœ… Enhances nutrient efficiency and crop productivity

โœ… Supports sustainable agriculture

Healthy soil remains the foundation of productive and resilient farming systems. ๐ŸŒพ

At WamiAgro, we work through Farmer Leads like Yahaya Salifu, who connects and supports multiple farmer groups. In his case, nearly 700 smallholder farmers across communities are reached through his leadership.

Itโ€™s a model built on trust, coordination, and shared progress.

Soil degradation is increasingly affecting agricultural productivity and food security across many farming communities in Ghana.

Globally, over 30% of agricultural lands are already degraded (FAO, 2020).

Projections also indicate that if current trends continue, up to 90% of the worldโ€™s arable land could be severely degraded by 2050, with significant yield reductions in some regions (IPBES, 2018).

As the demand for food production increases, restoring and protecting soil health has become more critical than ever.

How do we rebuild and sustain our soils for long term productivity? ๐ŸŒพ

Follow our page as we explore one of the most sustainable approaches to soil restoration in our first post next week.

Driven by our mission to make wholesome foods available, accessible, and affordable, we partner with smallholder farmers to promote sustainable food production.

As part of preparations for a successful planting season and ultimately a successful harvest, we provide support to farmers through:

1. Input credit distribution
Farmers on our projects receive certified seeds and fertilisers ahead of the planting season.

2. Mechanisation support
We support farmers with land preparation services to ensure timely and efficient planting activities.

These interventions help reduce some of the financial constraints that limit farmers from engaging in farming activities at their desired scale.

We remain committed to empowering smallholder farmers while pursuing collaborations and partnerships that contribute to sustainable food production across Africa.

Access to finance and reliable markets has often held farmers in Savelugu back. Even after harvest, uncertainty remained.

In 2025, WamiAgro partnered with Sinapi Aba Savings & Loans to help change the narrative. By supporting soya beans farmers with the right inputs, timely support, and guaranteed market access, it turned effort into real value.

That season ended differently. Farmers harvested and sold with confidence.
