Established in 2022, Fukku started as a Japanese Izakaya and now has evolved into a restaurant at our beautiful new home in Smith Street. Japanese cuisine and culture respects its produce and ingredients more than any other we've experienced, it's that attention to detail and simplicity that made all of us here at Fukku fall in love with it!

This delivery to Fukku was… a BIG one! 🐟

This is where it starts. Fresh from the sea, straight to our kitchen. Every cut matters. Preparing a whole tuna takes patience, precision and deep respect for the ingredient, nothing goes to waste. This tuna weighed 95kg. 👀

Expect lots of tuna on the menu. 😜

Two bowls, two completely different flavour journeys 🍜

Here’s our head chef Piotr breaking down how we build each one.

Spicy Kimchi Chicken Ramen
A bold, warming bowl built around marinated chicken, spring onions, ajitsuke egg, menma, nori and kimchee. It’s all about heat, umami and that deep fermented kick.

Miso Tonkotsu Pork Ramen
Rich and comforting with chashu pork belly at its core, balanced by menma, spring onions, shiitake black fungus, chillies, egg yolk and furikake. A deeper, more savoury profile with plenty of texture.

Same foundation, completely different outcomes. That’s the beauty of building a bowl.

Last week we hosted our first event as part of Guernsey’s Big Eat Festival! We teamed up with Tokuri for a one-off Omakase-style menu celebrating seasonal local and UK produce, and every dish delivered.
