We’re super grateful for the consistently fantastic crab 🦀 and brilliant service we’ve received from Bernie, Shane and team at A1 Crab Supplies Guernsey once again this year… for the 10th season running! We made them this lemon meringue cake as a little thank you for this Summer 🎂

Always lovey to receive a gift from one of your customers 😃 but also said on this occasion as It means it’s end of crab sandwich 🥪 season at Cobo Tea Room but we have supplied them with the best quality local crab 🦀 though the year thanks your support guys have a lovely holiday

We’re closing at 5pm for a short break (reopen Tuesday 29th September) so all cake is half price from 4pm today.

It looks like a gorgeous weekend ahead! We have plenty of cosy Autumn dishes and delicious sweet treats on the menu - plus our last weekend of the year serving fresh Guernsey crab (while stocks last…)! 🦀

For those not from the island, it’s a rather special apple pudding cake that is - along with Bean Jar - one of Guernsey’s most famous dishes. Slightly stodgy, very appley and wonderfully comforting!

There are many different family recipes found around the island and they are all so very slightly different. You can see a full selection if you visit one of our annual South, West or North Shows in the Summer.

This one has a special place in my heart as it’s my Nan’s original recipe 🥰

Fantastic with Guernsey cream or icecream, and this batch has just come out of the oven. Catch it this afternoon if you’re lucky… we’re open until 5pm 🍏

And now for a classic! The Coffee & Walnut ☕️

But not just an everyday coffee cake… a light coffee sponge sandwiched and topped with luxurious coffee flavour Guernsey double cream and finished with crunchy walnuts, it’s definitely a treat for the weekend… or whenever you need it! 😋
