📣 2025 წლის 24-25 ოქტომბერს ივანე ჯავახიშვილის სახელობის თბილისის სახელმწიფო უნივერსიტეტმა, სამცხე-ჯავახეთის სახელმწიფო უნივერსიტეტმა, ვილნიუსის უნივერსიტეტის ფილოლოგიის ფაკულტეტის უცხო ენების ინსტიტუტმა და სამოქალაქო ინტეგრაციისა და ეროვნებათშორისი ურთიერთობების ცენტრმა გამართა მეექვსე საერთაშორისო კონფერენციას თემაზე: მეორე ენის სწავლა/სწავლება მულტილინგვური განათლების კონტექსტში.

🔍კონფერენციის მიზანი იყო, განეხილათ და ერთიან კონცეფციად ჩამოეყალიბებინათ ადგილობრივ და უცხოელ სპეციალისტთა ნააზრევი მეორე ენის სწავლების მიდგომებისა და სტრატეგიების თაობაზე მულტილინგვური განათლების კონტექსტში.

📚კონფერენციის ერთი სექცია დაეთმო DECEP – ადრეული განათლების საკითხებს, სადაც პროექტის წარმომადგენლებმა მოხსენებები გააკეთეს შემდეგ თემებზე:

📕 ენის სწავლების პოლიტიკა: სტრატეგია, გამოწვევები და პრობლემების გადაჭრის გზები - მომხსენებელი ლალი კალანდაძე (განათლების, მეცნიერებისა და ახალგაზრდობის სამინისტრო);
📗 თეორიიდან მდგრად პრაქტიკამდე: ბილინგვური საგანმანათლებლო მოდელის დანერგვის კრიტიკული ასპექტები ადრეული ასაკის ბავშვთა განათლების სფეროში - მომხსენებლები: მზია წერეთელი, ია აფთარაშვილი (ივანე ჯავახიშვილის სახელობის თბილისის სახელმწიფო უნივერსიტეტი);
📘 მულტილინგვური საგანმანათლებლო ასპექტების ასახვა ადრეული ასაკის ბავშვთა განათლების პროგრამების მომზადებაში - მომხსენებლები: გიული შაბაშვილი, კახა გაბუნია (ივანე ჯავახიშვილის სახელობის თბილისის სახელმწიფო უნივერსიტეტი);
📙 ადრეული ასაკის ბავშვთა ინკლუზიური განათლების ხარისხის მდგრადობის უზრუნველყოფის მექანიზმები - მომხსენებლები: ნინო მოდებაძე, შორენა ძამუკაშვილი, ნინო ნახუცრიშვილი (იაკობ გოგებაშვილის სახელობის თელავის სახელმწიფო უნივერსიტეტი);
📕 უნივერსიტეტების როლი ადრეული ასაკის ბავშვთა ინკლუზიური განათლების განვითარებაში: სამცხე-ჯავახეთის სახელმწიფო უნივერსიტეტის მაგალითი - მომხსენებლები: ირმა ქურდაძე, მარი ნარიმანიძე (სამცხე-ჯავახეთის სახელმწიფო უნივერსიტეტი).

📣 On October 24-25, 2025, the Sixth International Conference on the topic: Second Language Acquisition/Teaching in the Context of Multilingual Education was organized by Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU), Samtskhe-Javakheti State University, the Institute of Foreign Languages of the Faculty of Philology at Vilnius University, and the Center for Civil Integration and Interethnic Relations.
🔍 The goal of the conference was to discuss and formulate a unified concept from the ideas of local and foreign specialists regarding approaches and strategies for teaching a second language within the context of multilingual education.
One section of the conference was dedicated to DECEP – Early Education Issues, where project representatives delivered presentations on the following topics:
📕 Language Teaching Policy: Strategy, Challenges, and Problem-Solving Methods – Presenter: Lali Kalandadze (Ministry of Education, Science, and Youth of Georgia);
📗 From Theory to Sustainable Practice: Critical Aspects of Implementing a Bilingual Educational Model in Early Childhood Education – Presenters: Mzia Tsereteli, Ia Aptarashvili (Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University);
📘 Reflection of Multilingual Educational Aspects in the Preparation of Early Childhood Education Programs – Presenters: Giuli Shabashvili, Kakha Gabunia (Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University);
📙 Mechanisms for Ensuring the Sustainability of Quality in Early Childhood Inclusive Education – Presenters: Nino Modebadze, Shorena Dzamukashvili, Nino Nakhutsrishvili (Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University);
📕 The Role of Universities in the Development of Early Childhood Inclusive Education: The Example of Samtskhe-Javakheti State University – Presenters: Irma Kurdadze, Mari Narimanidze (Samtskhe-Javakheti State University).

📣 22 ოქტომბერს, DECEP პროექტის ფარგლებში, თბილისის სახელმწიფო უნივერსიტეტში გაიმართა საორგანიზაციო შეხვედრა, რომელსაც ესწრებოდნენ იაკობ გოგებაშვილის სახელობის თელავის სახელმწიფო უნივერსიტეტის, სამცხე-ჯავახეთის სახელმწიფო უნივერსიტეტის და თბილისისი სახელმწიფო უნივერსიტეტის წარმომადგენლები.

✅ შეხვედრაზე განხილეს ადმინისტრაციული და ორგანიზაციული საკითხები, ისაუბრეს ჩატარებული სამუშაოებისა და მიღწეული შედეგების შესახებ. ასევე, დაგეგმეს სამომავლო ნაბიჯები და ვიზიტები პარტნიორ უნივერსიტეტებში.

📣 On October 22, an organizational meeting was held at Tbilisi State University (TSU) within the framework of the DECEP Project. Representatives from Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University, Samtskhe-Javakheti State University, and Tbilisi State University attended the meeting.

✅ During the meeting, administrative and organizational issues were discussed, along with a review of the work accomplished and the results achieved. Furthermore, future steps and visits to partner universities were planned.

🎯 Erasmus+ Practical Experience Sharing and Financial Management Workshops

We were proud to take part in the workshops organized by the National Erasmus+ Office in Georgia, focusing on practical experience sharing and financial management within the Erasmus+ programme.
🔹 Our project coordinator, Giuli Shabashvili, delivered a talk during the session on Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE).
She presented the project’s goals, objectives, and key deliverables, highlighting practical insights from the implementation process. Her presentation focused on:
✔️ Strategic planning and coordination of project activities
✔️ Key considerations for effective project management
✔️ Lessons learned in addressing challenges and ensuring sustainability
✔️ Administrative and financial details that require close attention
✔️ Collaboration practices that contribute to long-term impact
Giuli’s contribution aimed to inspire and guide both current and prospective Erasmus+ participants by sharing hands-on experience and tips for successful project delivery.

📚🌍 On April 29, Ana Golubeva, our partner from the University of Tartu (Narva College), delivered an engaging online training session as part of the DECEP Project!

The training focused on the topic: "Principles of Language Teaching in Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) Settings", drawing on both Estonian and American experiences.

💬 Participants explored key topics, including: 🔹 Policy on early years language teaching
🔹 Types of early years language teaching programmes
🔹 Target language as the focus of all activities
🔹 The importance of comprehensible input
🔹 The need for scaffolded output and understanding SLA stages

🤝 The session included collaborative group work, sparking discussions and reflections on effective strategies for second language acquisition in early learning environments.

The DECEP initiative strives to advance high-quality early childhood education policies by reshaping Georgian higher education institutions into a research and methodological hub. In response to the identified challenges, the project aims to achieve several objectives, encompassing the creation and accreditation of BA programs, piloting professional educational initiatives, training educational and administrative personnel, and developing rich digital resources. Additionally, the project will focus on raising awareness in society and fostering parental engagement, along with establishing close cooperation with education policymakers. The planned activities include study tours to partner EU universities, and training cycles for beneficiary higher education institutions on various aspects of early childhood education, multilingual education, and digital competencies. The project will also involve the development of early childhood education (ECE) programs, the creation of digital administration tools, and the formation of an inter-university network. The anticipated results encompass the development of ECE curricula, enhanced access to digital ECE resources, qualified ECE educators, heightened community awareness, and an improved ECE system. The tangible outputs of the project will include three BA programs, three professional development programs, one Learning Management System (LMS), one Open Educational Resources (OER) database, and the establishment of an inter-university network.
