The architecture is conceived as a continuous folded volume. Dark metal and wood surfaces tilt and intersect, forming a sculptural composition that reads as a single organism. The house is not separated from its boundary; the fence becomes an extension of the architecture itself. Walls, enclosure, and entrance unfold from the same gesture, dissolving the typical distinction between object and perimeter.

This continuity strengthens the identity of the building within its surroundings. Instead of reacting to neighboring structures, the design establishes its own internal order. The interaction of planes generates movement within a simple mass, allowing expression to emerge from geometry alone.

STIPFOLDโ€™s AltiHut Cottages Let the Mountain Stay the Main Character - Yanko Design Reaching AltiHut on Mount Kazbek means a refuge is no longer just a roof over climbers' heads, but a statement about standing lightly on a fragile landscape. Continuing this philosophy, the new AltiHut Cottages introduce a more personal way to experience the mountain. Designed for families and small groups, each unit provides a quiet retreat that expands the main hutโ€™s ecosystem while remaining fully integrated with the landscape. The layout is simple and compact, with a small room for children, a central living area, and an open mezzanine bedroom that faces the horizon.

The architectural idea follows STIPFOLDโ€™s language of purity and restraint. A continuous shell of fiber concrete forms the exterior, shaped to feel as if it has always been there. Inside, natural wood defines the atmosphere, balancing warmth with simplicity. The large glass opening turns the surrounding landscape into the main element of the interior, so the view itself becomes part of the design.

Each cottage is conceived as a continuation of nature rather than an object placed within it. The fiber concrete exterior will age and merge with the terrain, while the interior remains calm and enduring. The result is a space that fades into its surroundings, offering a rare kind of silence and clarity, where architecture serves only to frame the presence of the mountain itself.

Full project: https://stipfold.ge/perla

The exterior captures a single frozen moment of a breaking wave. Formed from fiber concrete, it carries the softness of motion in a solid surface. Seen from below, the building appears as a suspended ripple, a fragment of the sea shaped into architecture. Natural stone grounds this gesture, anchoring the form to the terrain while the white tone keeps it light and coastal.

The interior continues this dialogue of movement and calm. Beige fiber concrete walls feature flowing parametric lines, echoing the fluid geometry of the exterior. A restrained palette of white, sand, and pale wood maintains visual silence, allowing natural light to move freely through the space. Every element, from the custom kitchen island to the ceiling curves, follows a continuous rhythm that connects the rooms like a tide.
