Ever wonder why itโs so hard to "just calm down" when you're overwhelmed? In the book On Edge, we learn that anxiety isn't a character flaw - itโs biology.
When we experience emotional flooding, our brainโs alarm system completely hijacks our logic. You can't reason your way out of a flooded state because the reasoning part of your brain has literally gone offline.
This Thursday, 18 June we are mastering the tools to intercept the hijack before it starts, moving from a biological reaction to an intentional response.

We often internalize logistics as a reflection of our personal value.
When life gets busy, itโs incredibly easy to mistake a loved oneโs hectic schedule for a lack of interest in us. But this kind of negative self-talk isnโt just harmless venting - itโs actually a form of self-attack.
We rarely tell these painful stories about strangers. They only pop up in our closest, most intimate relationships because we care so deeply.
๐ The Perspective Shift
The next time you feel that familiar sting of rejection when plans fall through, try bridging the gap between anxiety and peace by reframing the narrative:
The Negative Thought: โThey donโt want to spend time with me.โ
The Reality: They are simply busy or working. They love you and want to connect when they are available.

Donโt just passively accept the thoughts that hurt you. Turn self-attack into self-care by changing the question.
Instead of asking, โWhy donโt they have time for me?โ try asking: โHow can I help create time for us in a different way this week?โ Taking action takes your power back and protects your relationships.

Before you moved, you were likely operating at your peak. High energy, great job performance, deep friendships, and a solid routine.
Then, the relocation happened.
Suddenly, you find yourself feeling disconnected, tired, or unsure of your footing. Itโs easy to judge yourself and think youโre failing - but the truth is, entering an โunsettledโ state is a completely normal part of transitioning between cultural environments.
You havenโt lost your edge; your brain is just busy translating a whole new world.

Joy During Season of Transition ๐ฌ๏ธ
Life transitions cause your position on the Mental Health Continuum to fluctuate. Joy is not a fixed goal, but a dynamic marker of well-being. Navigating changes - like relocating or career shifts - requires adapting how you experience, process, and sustain joy.
What brings you joy shifts as your life circumstances change. During a transition, the sources of joy shift from external milestones to internal processes, like adaptability, self-care, and personal growth.

Can you actually heal inside of a coaching relationship? ๐๏ธ
A lot of times, people think healing and coaching donโt go together. They think healing is something only a counselor can handle. But the truth is, there is a sacred space for healing right here inside of coaching.
I truly believe God has called me to be a Coach Healer.
When you say you want to heal, it indicates an injury. Whether that is physical pain, emotional pain, or spiritual pain - that pain is real. And I know some of you are living in that reality right now.
But hear me on this: it doesnโt mean you canโt heal, or that you are limited in how healing can find you. God can use all things to bring restoration to your life.
Healing is not a one-session quick fix. It is a journey of a lifetime. And you donโt have to walk it alone.
