How He Made the Planters?
Lining: He cut and stapled plastic sheets inside the jeans to hold the water and soil.
Support: He used sticks to keep the denim legs upright.
Filling: He poured in gravel and soil to create a strong base before planting seeds.
What He Grew?
Tomatoes
Brinjal (eggplant)
Okra (lady’s finger)
Green chillies
Why It Worked?
“My mother raises hens for eggs, but they destroy my vegetable plants more often than not. Also, our compound easily gets waterlogged.” According to the The New Indian Express.
