What a fantastic day our Year 3 children had on their trip to Bishops Wood!
As part of their learning about the Romans, the children immersed themselves in Roman life through a range of exciting hands-on activities. They had the opportunity to learn some Latin words, perform in a Roman play, build a Roman road, and even work together to construct a tent without any instructions β showing excellent teamwork, problem-solving and resilience.
The children embraced every challenge with enthusiasm, curiosity and fantastic behaviour throughout the day. We are incredibly proud of them all; they were a real credit to our school and represented us brilliantly.
Well done, Year 3! We hope you enjoyed your Roman adventure as much as we did.

π¦ππͺΆ A Wildly Exciting Visit to Nursery! π¦¨β¨
Today we had a very special visitor at nursery β the Animal Man! The children were absolutely fascinated as they met a variety of amazing animals up close.
We saw a cockroach, a leopard gecko, a baby boa, a corn snake, a beautiful kookaburra, and even a skunk! πΎ
The children showed fantastic curiosity and bravery, asking lots of questions and learning all about how these animals live, what they eat, and where they come from. There were plenty of smiles (and a few surprised faces too!) as everyone had the chance to take a closer look.

We are incredibly proud of the way they conducted themselves both on and off the field, demonstrating great sportsmanship and representing the school with pride.

Our EYFS children had an exciting visit from a fire engine today! The firefighters showed us how the engine works and explained the important tools they use to help keep people safe. The children loved seeing the flashing lights and hearing the siren. We learnt about the different ways firefighters help in emergencies, from putting out fires to rescuing people. The visit helped us understand the role of real-life heroes in our community.
