We are a lived experience recovery organisation working with the treatment provider Recovery Near You, offering diverse peer-led drug and alcohol support.

We are an award winning charity, working closely with Recovery Near You, supporting vulnerable adults in Wolverhampton and the local community. Our staff and volunteers all have a lived experience of addiction and can offer support to people struggling with drug/alcohol related issues, who are working towards recovery or already maintaining successful recovery.

There will be no Running Group or Gardening Group today, due to the wet weather.
Apologies for any inconvenience. They will hopefully be back to normal next week.

A huge congratulations to all our artists who have worked so hard over the past year with Asylum Art Gallery & Studios Ltd on the incredible [PRO]FILE Alternative Art School programme.

A special thank you to Hannah and Corin for treating us to lunch at Wolverhampton’s wonderful Made in Thai restaurant as we celebrated together.

Scouse and David, we can’t wait to see what comes next for you both, with college and exciting new creative projects on the horizon. Wayne and mattheartist, congratulations on securing your places to study Fine Art at the University of Wolverhampton later this year.

We also hold Sally Rowley in our thoughts with great love and gratitude. Sally was a beautiful, talented, and loved part of our community and will always remain a valued member of the SUIT and Asylum family.

We’re incredibly proud of everything you have achieved and look forward to seeing where your creative journeys take you next.

Massive thanks to Wolverhampton Art Gallery, Ronnie Fray, and to Hannah Taylor and Corin Taylor-Salt of Asylum Artist Studios, for their dedication to the arts, our recovery community, and their consistent striving ambition. Without you, these projects, client opportunity, and subsequent ACE funding would not be possible.

PRIDE 2026

So you may have seen us this weekend at Wolverhampton Pride!

We had so much fun on Saturday. We met so many people and we are so proud to be a part of Pride. Alongside our stalls and the parade, our volunteers also ran a social space at Pride House.

It was a great day and here is a glimpse into WLGBT+ at Pride this year.

Important announcement for SUIT & Recovery Near You artists!

SUIT’s weekly creative recovery group will be moving from a Tuesday to a Wednesday. This change will happen on Wednesday 17th June.

The new Wednesday slot will run from 1pm until 3pm.

There is no referral needed for creative recovery, and you don’t need any previous experience of art or creativity.

The change of day is due to the phenomenal success and big numbers of attendees at groups including RISE Day Hab & SMART, and we want to ensure that everyone gets time and space to participate in groups that build strength, resilience, and knowledge in recovery.

Get in touch with us at [email protected] or on 01902 328983 if you want to know more about our peer led groups.

As Volunteer Week draws to an end, there's just time to introduce you to our newest volunteer, Ivy.
We are excited to see what Ivy will bring to the team!

Each new volunteers comes with their own lived experience, and with the right support and opportunities we see them grow in confidence and ability.

We have known Ivy, right from the start of their recovery journey and are delighted that they chosen to take that next step and become a volunteer.

SUIT are proud to stand together at Wolverhampton Pride 🏳️‍🌈
On Saturday, the SUIT team were honoured to take part in the Wolverhampton Pride Parade, standing shoulder to shoulder with our partners at Recovery Near You and Good Shepherd Services in a powerful show of unity, inclusion, and solidarity.

As organisations supporting some of the most vulnerable people in our community, we know how important it is that everyone feels seen, valued, and accepted for who they are. Pride is about celebrating diversity, challenging stigma, and creating communities where people can live authentically and safely.
It was fantastic to see so many people coming together to celebrate equality, connection, and hope.
Thank you to everyone who joined the parade, cheered us on, and helped make the day such a positive and uplifting event.

Together, we are stronger. Together, we build communities where everyone belongs. ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
