A reminder that this year's Codfest will be held on Saturday 5th of September at Kingswood Trust. Lots of work has gone into the planning already and tickets will be going on sale very soon. So watch this space for updates. See you down the front

You're never truly ready for an album launch until you've got the outdated technology shiny plastic disks in hand. Great for resting drinks on or scaring birds from your garden.

If you want one of these, they'll be available online and in person from the 23rd for £8. This is because I'm told £7 is the current 'optimum' price for an album, and the extra pound plants a tree on Treeapp to offset the carbon footprint of a virgin plastic disk that no one has anything to use with anymore anyway, except maybe in the car if your car is old enough, and if it is then planting a tree for your carbon footprint wouldn't hurt anyway, would it?

Unless your car is like mine and still has Jess Silk's EP stuck in it from last year...

Come to the album launch in ONE WEEK at The Giffard Arms. It'll be ace.

I love playing with The Revolt. I get really excited when I get the opportunity to book a gig with them. But it's not until the first rehearsal that I realise just how much fun I'm going to have.

Getting to play my songs with some of the best musicians and people I know is incredible. Playing the new songs for the first time with them has been a joy tonight. I can't wait for the gig and I can't wait for you to hear it.

Everyone at Codfest is incredibly saddened to hear of the passing of our dear friend and enigmatic compere Will Morgan. A brilliant musician and entertainer, Will was a Codfest veteran who first graced Maria's back porch ten years ago, and had played and compered for us across both stages numerous times since.

Our thoughts are with his friends and family, especially his wife Chris, at this sad time. Rest in peace Will 💛🩵
