💨 It’s been all go here lately, washing machine on at 5.30am and doing its thing throughout the days - thank you to all those sending rugs and horsey related laundry! 🐴 🧼

🥇 Last weekend the washing machine paused as my 5 YO daughter competed at the Area 9 Mounted Games Comp at Malvern - such a fabulous time had for the whole weekend with the Albrighton Hunt Pony Club team ❤️
🏵️ The team of “teeny-tots”, with an average age of 4.5 years, had fun, the children all did their absolute best and came 15th out of 30 teams - truly awesome!

🏆 In a bonus prize, Tom Hollinshead was crowned “Speedy Dad” for his swift moves to keep up with our competitive Shetland and her jockey! 👏🏼

🧵 They can often be stitched, Velcro added or amended, ears stitched or replaced - and go on to serve in the eternal battle against annoying flies for summers to come (when they’re not attached to a fence, random branch, or lost in the field..!)

💨 Today has really been ‘one of those days’! ☔️

🥶 🐴 We’ve a cold night/morning ahead and unpredictable Easter and it’s on and off with the different rug weights well into April with its showers, even with dry days it can drop cold in the small hours can’t it. 🥚 🐣

🤞 ☀️ Hopefully we won’t have too many repeats of today though, that savage wind was a biter especially with the added joy of the hail! 🏃🏼‍♀️ 🌧️

The main machine 🧼 has been busy with all sorts recently, various stable rugs and a few flys too!

March is unpredictable ☀️ ❄️ ☔️ 🥶 so lots of rugs are planned to come when the warmer weather arrives ☀️ 😃 but if there’s anything that’s done and dusted for this winter, it can be washed before the rush 🐎 💨

It’s always great to see my old friends - last year’s repairs!

Using the best new materials possible (though fly rugs do need to cannibalise dead flys) and new metals and an industrial sewing machine, repairs last.

There’s no using non-waterproof webbing to patch turnout rugs and all stitching is waterproofed to prevent rain ingress. Spotting a strong old repair is strangely rewarding!

Scientifically tested, CleanRound removes 99.9999% of bacteria and fungi including strangles and ringworm while being suitable for everyday use. Photos from our summer adventures are a great reminder that winter soon shall pass (but wish it would pass a lot quicker!) and the good times and early morning / late evening rides will roll once again ☀️
