An absolutely fantastic evening at the Alexander Stadium in Birmingham for the European Athletics Championships. I loved cheering on Team GB as we won more medals! I also got to meet some icons of athletics and personal heroes including Wolverhampton's own Dame Denise Lewis, as well as Dame Kelly Holmes, Sally Gunnell and Ade Adepitan

It was lovely welcoming Bally from Scope Events and the team to the parlour, alongside our well-known friend, Punjabi singer, Bhangra superstar Lehmber Hussainpuri.

And what a special moment when Lehmber performed one of his biggest hits, Sadi Gali, right here in the parlour! ๐ŸŽค

With the song having reached over 94 million Spotify streams, hearing it performed live was pretty incredible! ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿฝ

Thank you to Bally, the team and Lehmber for such a memorable visit.

Celebrating one year of Meat Free Planet in Wolverhampton.

I joined Aman and the team, alongside family, friends and members of the community, to mark their first anniversary and celebrate a successful first year.

It was especially good to see the occasion used to give back, with ยฃ644.81 raised for Dementia UK.

Congratulations to the whole team on reaching this milestone, and wishing Meat Free Planet continued success for the years ahead.

Family, fun and community spirit at the WV Active Family Fun Day at Bert Williams Leisure Centre.

It was fantastic to see local families coming together, enjoying the activities and making the most of a day designed to bring the community together.

I was pleased to join the Igbo Community Association for their Igbo Day celebration.

A vibrant celebration of Igbo culture, heritage and community, bringing families and friends together to share traditions and celebrate their identity.

It was also an opportunity to recognise the valuable contribution the Igbo community continues to make across Wolverhampton and the wider Midlands.

A great community afternoon at the Summer Fete 2026 at Wrottesley Park House.

Wolverhampton Warriors are a football team made up of young care leavers in our city. Earlier this summer, they came second in a national competition involving 38 council areas from across the country which was a fantastic achievement. To say well done, I invited them up to a reception in the Mayor's Parlour and I really enjoyed meeting them. The team train weekly and it is an opportunity build positive relationships and a sense of belonging. Participation helps to reduce social isolation and improve emotional wellbeing for these fantastic young people.
