26 families signed up to receive Food Packs which will feed 70 people (adults & children). At the Foodbank top 3 reasons for foodbank referrals was no food, and cost of food / energy.

🚶‍♀️👟 MILES FOR SMILES WALKATHON 👟🚶‍♂️

Today, the incredible team from Taylor Biddle Opticians set off on their 10-mile "Miles for Smiles" Walkathon, walking between their Compton and Wombourne branches to raise vital funds for Secret Angels (Lives Matter).

A huge thank you to every walker, supporter, volunteer and member of staff taking part in this fantastic challenge. Special thanks also to our media partner, Asian Music Radio, who joined them this morning to help send the team on their way and show their support for this amazing community effort.

This walk is about much more than miles. Every step taken today will help Secret Angels continue supporting vulnerable individuals and families across Wolverhampton through:

📱 Mobile phone and connectivity support
🔥 Energy and fuel poverty advice
❤️ Cost of living assistance

The Miles for Smiles – 1000 miles Walkathon fundraising campaign runs until 30 June 2026, and together we are aiming to raise an incredible £10,000. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help us continue changing lives and supporting those who need us most. Please support the walkers and help us reach our target.
