One of the next things being built into RouteRelay is an inspection option.

Through Flatout Logistics, we’ve already been involved with inspecting and moving a range of vehicles, including high-end and performance cars. If you scroll back through the page, you’ll see some of the vehicles we’ve handled. Our detailed inspection process, reliability and expertise has built the foundation for what's about to come.

That real-world experience is now being built into RouteRelay.

The aim is to give a clearer picture when a vehicle is being collected, especially with auction purchases, trade purchases and cars coming into stock.

Different inspection levels are being planned, from a basic collection condition check through to a more detailed in depth inspections with road test notes, vehicle condition observations and future AI assistance to help review inspection media and speed up reporting.

The AI side won’t replace human judgement. It will be there to support the inspection process, flag potential areas to review and help make reports quicker and more consistent.

This is being designed for the motor trade, not as a generic tick-box report. The focus is on practical information dealers can actually use when deciding what needs prep, what needs checking and what condition the vehicle is really in.

More updates coming soon as this rolls into RouteRelay.

Flatout Logistics was the start.

RouteRelay is the next step.

Flatout started with the aim of moving high-end and specialist cars properly, but after years in the trade it became obvious the problem is much bigger than one logistics service.

Vehicle movements are still being run through Facebook posts, WhatsApp messages and blind trust.

Dealers are chasing cars and updates.

Drivers are chasing invoices.

Transporters are running empty.

And everyone is trying to work out who is genuine.

So the brand is evolving into RouteRelay — a vehicle movement platform built for the real motor trade.

The aim is simple:

Vehicle movements, routed properly.

Not another cheapest-wins quote site.

Not another platform built to squeeze money out of dealers or drivers.

Just a better way to connect genuine insured drivers, trade platers, transporters and recovery companies with dealers who need vehicles moved properly.

Clearer jobs.
More trust.
Fairer work.
Better proof.
Less room for messers.

The platform is now moving into closed testing with a small number of dealers and transport providers before it goes wider.

Flatout was about moving cars properly.

RouteRelay is about fixing the movement process properly.

If you’re in the trade and want to be involved early, message me.

Here’s a strong rebrand/goodbye post to go with the collage:

After years of moving everything from classics and collectors’ cars to prestige, performance and high-end vehicles, Flatout Logistics is evolving.

This isn’t a fresh start because something failed — it’s the next step from everything I’ve learned doing this properly, day in, day out, across the UK.

Flatout started as a simple vehicle movement service. Over time it became clear the industry needs something better: more organised, more transparent, easier for dealers, and built by someone who actually understands the job from the driver’s seat, not just from behind a desk.

So this is a final look back at some of the cars moved under the Flatout Logistics name.

Same care.
Same standards.
Same real-world experience.

But now with a bigger vision.

Flatout Logistics is becoming RouteRelay — a more modern, smarter vehicle logistics platform built around proper route planning, trusted transporters, dealer movements, prestige vehicle logistics and the future of how cars are moved across the UK.

Thank you to everyone who trusted Flatout with their cars.

On to the next chapter.

Flatout Logistics → RouteRelay

Quick rebrand update.

You’ll notice the page changing from Flatout Logistics over to RouteRelay.

Flatout started with high-end/specialist vehicle movements, and I’ll be posting some of the cars moved under that name as a final look back at where it started.

The idea has grown beyond just one logistics service, so RouteRelay is being built as the next step — a wider vehicle movement platform for the motor trade.

Flatout was the foundation.

RouteRelay is the bigger picture.
