The Mk2 Golf interior is now starting to come together properly, with the trim work fitted around the modern systems we’ve built into the car.
On a build like this, the interior isn’t just about appearance. The dashboard, controls, access points and trim all need to work with the wiring, electronics and structure underneath.
That’s the balance we’ve been aiming for throughout this project: modern capability in a classic Mk2, without losing the character of the car.

Custom rear suspension work on this 1986 Chevy Blazer.
The problem was the packaging. The boot floor and fuel tank had to stay where they were, and there was not a ready made kit that suited the car properly.
So we developed a three link setup, modified the rear axle, made new cross members, and added a Panhard rod to give it the stability it needed.
It is not always the easiest way to do it, but if you cannot buy the right solution, sometimes you have to make it.
Built in house, made to fit.
This 1986 Chevy Blazer is back in the workshop.
No ready made rear suspension kit suited the car properly, so the setup had to be made around the vehicle.
Boot floor staying.
Fuel tank staying.
Rear suspension still had to work properly.

🙌Nice little rear box delete and re-route on this Toyota GT86 for a custom rear diffuser.
The rear box has been removed, the pipework re-routed, and the exhaust brought through the centre to suit the rear setup.
Nothing overcomplicated. Just making the exhaust work properly with the diffuser and the space available on the car.
The same sort of approach can be used on other cars where the exhaust needs adapting around a diffuser, bumper or custom rear-end layout.
