在一般情況下，英國業主以《第21條通知(Section 21)》驅逐租客，只需提前2個月通知租客，便可收回物業。不過根據去年通過的《新冠病毒2020法案(Coronavirus Act 2020)》，2個月的通知期要延長至半年。
隨著疫情緩和,政府宣佈由2021年8月1號開始,若租客不交租少於四個月,便可給兩個月通知期驅逐租客。詳情請參考下文。
