🌳Tree Removal & Fence Reinstatement🌳

When a tree comes down, it’s often more than just the tree that needs dealing with!

For this job, we were instructed to remove a fallen tree that had damaged a neighbouring property’s fence.

We also removed several dead standing trees, to make sure that area is safe and reduce the risk of future issues.

This was followed by reinstating the damaged section of fence, with new posts and rails.

🏡 Patio Refresh 🏡

Another recent job completed! This patio had become uneven, overgrown and was no longer being enjoyed.

The existing slabs had originally been laid directly onto sand and soil, which had caused them to become loose and uneven over time.

We carefully lifted and cleaned the existing slabs before excavating the area. As well as removing a section of flower bed, an old pond and several unnecessary steps.

A new MOT base was then installed, providing a solid foundation for the patio to then be relaid on a full mortar base.

To improve accessibility and create a better flow through the garden, we graded the patio from the existing concrete path down to the garden level, eliminating trip hazards and unnecessary steps. The former pond area was backfilled and levelled, whilst the joints were finished using kiln dried sand.

Resulting in a much more practical and level space, ready to be enjoyed throughout the summer!

Driveway Transformation 🚙✨

Whilst the sun’s been shining, Gries Rural has been hard at work completing a full driveway renovation!

The project involved the full removal of the existing driveway, including excavation and disposal of the old surface. Before carrying out all necessary preparation works.

To create a long lasting surface we installed a Drivetex membrane throughout, helping to improve the driveway’s integrity and reduce the need for future maintenance.

As part of the project, we replaced and extended brick edging around the turning area to provide a defined border, alongside timber edging to create a neat transition between the driveway and surrounding lawn. We also installed new concrete gully surrounds to protect and aid drainage.

The driveway was then finished with Cotswold stone, that complements the property beautifully whilst offering a practical and hard wearing surface.

A huge thank you to our clients for the instruction, MKM for the materials and SDW Plant Hire and Sales for the plant hire!
