Becoming independent and starting my own business was only part of my motivation to create Ruby Bloom. it would have meant nothing if I hadn’t given it a soul. A place for people to be inspired and enjoy hanging out in. The stuff money can’t buy.

So, thank you to everyone for all the lovely messages. I am quite overwhelmed. Proud to have created something so many people felt an affinity towards.

My work is done.

So, I did get to express my creativity, keep shop and meet some wonderful people I can now call friends.

Ruby Bloom has certainly been a roller coaster of a ride from start to finish and I have enjoyed ever second of it.

I can proudly say I got to create a style and steer the business exactly in the way I wanted, no compromise; and got away with it for fifteen and a half years… no mean feat in Wakefield!

The impact of Covid the last few years has put a real strain on the business, leaving me no option but to sadly close the doors. So thank you to all the wonderful customers who have supported the Bloom over the years. For giving me artistic license to create for you, and most importantly thank you for all the great chats and laughs we have mutually shared over the years, I hope those wooden walls don’t have ears! 😬
