Shelter From the Storm 🌧️
I captured this in Topsham last year, during a time when my dad had just been diagnosed with terminal cancer. Bob Dylan was his all-time favourite musician, so naming it after his song felt instinctive.
Churches are often shelters in moments of turmoil, and that’s how I saw it then. The dark edit reflects that period for me, the clouds almost resembling smoke, heavy and unsettled.
It’s not a perfect piece of art, but it carries meaning. And I believe art has to speak to the artist… otherwise, why bother? 💜

Practice makes joy 🐦✨
This was a practice shot of a gorgeous robin.
Robins are one of my absolute favourite birds, and I got so much joy from trying to capture this little one. I even got a tiny song out of it while I was shooting, proper moment I won’t forget.
Sometimes it’s not about perfection, just being present with nature and enjoying the process ❤️

Captured during a museum visit last year, this Pears Soap statue is full of character. The fine detail in the boy’s expression as he’s scrubbed clean is what really drew me in, playful, nostalgic, and beautifully crafted. 😍

✨ Recently, fellow photographer Steve and I had the incredible opportunity to capture a breathtaking sculpture called Odin by the amazingly talented Allan Poxton. 📸
I’m so excited to share a few of my favourite shots with you — hope you love them as much as I loved taking them! 💜
Which one’s your favourite? Let me know in the comments! ⬇️

Time standing still, even if just for a moment.
I captured this black and white shot of the sundial in the gardens at Cockington during a college photography field trip.
There’s something so beautiful and timeless about sundials — they remind us how precious each moment is. ☀️⏳️

This shot was one of my early experiments, and I still love it. 🌈 The rainbow of colours on the beach hut doors instantly caught my eye, but it was the way they reflected on the pavement that really made the moment feel magical.
A reminder to always look twice, sometimes the beauty is in the reflection. ✨📸

I had the chance to photograph Dan, who recently started his own plumbing business — Distinction Plumbing in Torbay. To symbolize this exciting new venture and the themes of growth and transformation, I incorporated a caterpillar and butterfly into the scene. Can you spot them? 🐛🦋📸

Captured this macro shot of a dandelion right in my garden.
There’s something so satisfying about the delicate texture and tiny details it’s like nature’s own art 🎨 ✨️ 😍

I’ve always loved dragonflies.
I captured this beauty during a trip to Wellington in Somerset. 🐉✨
In many spiritual traditions, dragonflies symbolize transformation, adaptability, and new beginnings. They remind us to embrace change and move through life’s challenges with grace and resilience. Across cultures, they’re seen as messengers of deeper truths, a gentle nudge to find balance, harmony, and lightness in our journey.
