June is National Crime Reading Month 🔍🕵️‍♀️

Whether you're an avid reader or new to the genre please browse and borrow from our display to find your next chilling crime read or masterful murder mystery.

**Deadline extended to Monday 22nd June at 6pm**

The Summer Book Quest 2026 will be launching soon and we are looking for young volunteers aged 13-17 to help us during the summer. It is a great opportunity to build skills, support the library and have fun.
Volunteers will:
🔵 Encourage children aged 4-11 to take part in The Summer Book Quest.
🔵 Sign up new members and give out incentives.
🔵 Tidy and shelve books.
🔵 Help at weekly children’s games and craft activities.
Please pop in to the library to pick up an application pack - the closing date is Monday 22nd June.
Training given - this will take place on Fri 26 June at 4pm or Sat 27 June at 11am.

There is always lots of messy play and hands-on activities to explore alongside the story. This time we are reading A Good Place by Lucy Cousins and exploring bugs and nature

This Saturday come along to a clothes swap AND upcycling demos organised by Sustainable Tiverton's SASSY!

From 12-2pm, aimed at tweens-25, Free event.

Exeter Seed Banks' Touring Seed Library is at Tiverton Library till 6 July!

The beautiful suitcase is filled with a unique collection of seeds and their many stories for you to uncover.

Laura Langabeer from The Heritage Seed Farm Devon came to visit us in Tiverton, and we had a lovely morning. We chatted about seed saving and growing, with many locals pitching in and sharing their expertise.

Come have a look yourself, pick up some donated seeds, and share your own.

Families with toddlers aged 1 or 2, join us at our BookTrust Bookstart Toddler Session for a special story, rhyme and play session. With a Bookstart Toddler Pack for children aged 1 and 2.

Free event but booking essential as spaces are limited.

Repair Cafe Tiverton 9.30am-12.30pm run by volunteers from Sustainable Tiverton

Especially Welcome on Saturday 10am-12pm relaxed sensory play, children with additional needs are especially welcome. This month's theme is frogs!

Story time & Crafts 10.30am friendly family storytime and crafts - reading books about frogs.

Chatterbooks book club for 7-11s at 2pm, new always members welcome.

LEGO Club for children and their grownups, drop.in 2pm-3.30pm.

All events are free and no booking is needed.

Before term ends we want to let you know well in advance that we won't be hosting a school uniform swap at Tiverton Library this Summer. We are aware that many local schools have started their own pre-loved uniform swaps and shops, if your child's school does not offer this service there is also a uniform swap section at ReFurnish Tiverton on Fore Street.
