Swindon Rowing Club

What a busy month at Swindon Rowing Club . We were delighted to join the PRIDE festival. We followed this with nearly 20 members participating in the Oxford City Royal Regatta . Some of us only completed our learn to row courses in 2025 and 2026. Such great fun - many of us had never competed at a regatta before. Congratulations to Emily and Bella who won their races . Thank you to all our supporters who came to cheer us to the finish line

Munich Masters Regatta is done — three intense days of racing, a little sightseeing, and one clear takeaway: the European Masters Regatta is the toughest masters event in Europe, even tougher than the World Masters (which as also in Europe).

Three times they came agonisingly close to medals, on which Anna says: "It was a privilege to race alongside former Olympians and World Champions — every heat pushed us and reminded us why we love this sport."

She adds: "We’re leaving Munich stronger, faster, and hungrier for what’s next."

Great fun hosting Swindon 24 for a piece ahead of England's World Cup quarter-final with Norway. Two strong rowing nations...but who's better at football? 🤷‍♂️

A HUGE weekend for Swindon RC at British Rowing Masters' Regatta with Ellie Miles, Anna Nicol, Tom Kr, and Neil Orpen racking up several medals including gold in the Women's Intermediate 36+ 2x, and silver in the Mixed Intermediate 36+ 2x, with close 4th places in the Mixed MasB 2x, and Mixed MasB/C 4x- finals.
