Its a Friday, we're travelling to Bristol... via Newport 🤣
Tomorrow, we're walking from Emersons Green, Bristol, to the famous Crescent in Bath!
This is a training walk, as we will be doing the route again, with the support of Trail Escape, at the end of September!

Today's Retro Ramblers walk turned into a Retro Rambler solo hike.
I didn't let the rain put me off, and continued as planned.
So, off I went on a 7.15 mile walk starting and finishing at Uffington White Horse Car Park.

From the Studios of Swindon 105.5… to the Mountains of Peru!

I’m Peggy‑Sue, volunteer, presenter, and proud supporter of our award‑winning community radio station, and in June 2028, I’ll be trekking the legendary Inca Trail to Machu Picchu!

Five days of ancient pathways, cloud forests, high passes, and that magical moment when the Sun Gate reveals Machu Picchu in all its glory.

But there’s more, I am also taking on the dazzling Rainbow Mountain, adding a burst of colour to this once‑in‑a‑lifetime adventure.

So, between now and May 2028, I am going to be training, not only with my fellow Retro Ramblers, but also with UK treks across the Malverns, Cotswolds, Ridgeway, and four progressive Pen y Fan climbs, all building strength and stamina for the high‑altitude challenge ahead.

I’ve already conquered five sections of the Great Wall of China in 2025, and now I’m ready to channel that same determination into this new journey, raising vital funds for Swindon 105.5, our volunteer‑powered station that gives a voice to local people, charities, and music that matter.
