We were delighted to welcome Ged and Glen Wilkinson alongside HOPE to Strabane Academy to speak with our KS3 and KS4 pupils.

Our pupils enjoyed a series of engaging and thought-provoking sessions, with plenty of important messages and opportunities for reflection. The sessions were delivered brilliantly and were extremely well received by our young people.

A huge thank you to Ged and Glen, and to HOPE, for taking the time to visit and for providing such excellent sessions for our pupils. 👏

🏆A huge congratulations to Jack in Year 9!

Jack is pictured proudly showing off his winner’s medal after representing the West Indies team in the U13 World Cup League during the summer! 🥇🌍

Jack, who is also part of Bready CC, helped the West Indies team to an incredible victory as they were crowned U13 World Cup League Champions! 🏆👏

What a fantastic achievement and an unforgettable experience. We are delighted to celebrate Jack’s success and are incredibly proud of his sporting achievements! 💙🌟

Absolutely fantastic achievement by Troy M in Year 9 over the summer! 🏆🐕👏

Troy took part in the Glenashane Dog Show and came home with an incredible collection of trophies after being recognised as Best Dog Handler in both the Terrier and Working Dog categories, before going on to be crowned Overall Champion across all categories! 🏆✨

What a brilliant achievement and a real testament to Troy’s hard work, skill and dedication. We are incredibly proud of you, Troy! 👏🐶

🔥 Day 2 of the new term for Year 13 and our Sixth Form Enrichment Programme is already off to a fantastic start! 🔥

13LJK headed to Strabane Fire Station, where they were hosted by Firefighter Steve. Pupils enjoyed getting involved in some practical activities while also benefiting from valuable advice and insights from the session. 🚒👨‍🚒

Meanwhile, 13BM enjoyed their first session with Ronan from Include Youth, which was received extremely positively by our pupils who are looking forward to the next one already. 👏

A brilliant start to another exciting year of enrichment opportunities for our Sixth Form students! 💙

What a first day back at school for our prize-winning poet and Year 9 pupil, Luka! ✨

Miss Elliott was delighted to present Luka with his published poem, 'A Velvet Rose', which won the Seamus Heaney Achievement for Poetry Award – Recommendation for an Individual Post-Primary Pupil in Northern Ireland.

Luka, we are so proud to journey with you and to see your creativity flourish.

CELEBRATING STAFF SUCCESS 🤩

Well done to Mr White and Miss Woods who participated in the Donegal half marathon over the weekend! Mr White had an incredible day over the 21.1 km course, even securing a new personal best! 🏃 Miss Woods enjoyed the hilly middle section of the half marathon as part of a relay team. ⛰️✨A great effort all round!

Tuesday will be lunch service only.
Wednesday normal service resumes with breakfast, break and lunch service.

Year 8, 13 & 14 to bring a break-time snack on Tuesday 1st Sept.
