Carers Week 2026 💙

A great turnout at the Carers Week event held at the Whitehorse Hotel!

The Gable team was delighted to attend and share information about the range of support and services available through Gable. It was wonderful to meet carers from across the community, connect with partner organisations, and highlight the valuable support available to those in caring roles.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to chat and learn more about our services. Together, we continue to recognise, support, and celebrate carers during Carers Week and throughout the year.

It was wonderful to come together to celebrate and recognize the invaluable contribution that carers make every day. It gave Gable an opportunity to give information on the services we offer which may help our carers. Your dedication, compassion, and support make a real difference to so many lives.

CHANGES TO OUR HELPING HANDS SCHEME

Due to the current demand for our services and the increasing costs of operating without external funding, we have unfortunately had to make the difficult decision to limit our service area.

With immediate effect, the Helping Hands Scheme will operate within a 25-mile radius only. This change will help us continue providing support in a sustainable way while maintaining the quality of service we offer.

We appreciate your understanding and continued support.

💪Our Lisa is some woman for one woman💪

Huge congratulations to GABLE’S very own Lisa Wallace, who took on the Hyrox Competition at Melvin Sports Complex, Strabane on Saturday 30 May 2026! 💪
Taking on one of the toughest fitness challenges out there, Lisa showed incredible determination, resilience, and spirit from start to finish. While she may not have taken the top spot this time, she’s absolutely our golden girl and a true inspiration to us all! 🥇
We’re so proud of you, Lisa—what an amazing achievement! 👏

GABLE Project was happy to attend Foyle for their Open Day as part of their Future Planning Project

Our team were delighted to give a talk focused on helping older people plan ahead for staying comfortable and independent in their homes
