Laughter isn’t unique to humans. Many animals share this with us, making play vocalisations when playing. From chimps to rats (not that we can hear rats laughter unless we turn down the pitch), 65 species so far found to ‘laugh’. Laughter plays an important role in social bonding for animals just as it does for humans. With more play & laughter there’s less conflict! I’ve had my dog make laughter like sounds when I tickle & play with her. How about you? Hey everyone, I'm introducing something new to Stonehaven with the support of The Haven through their Community Wellbeing Project: Laughter Yoga. I became a qualified Laughter Yoga instructor towards the end of last year and these classes will be my first. Laughter Yoga is a fantastic addition to focus on activities that bring joy to me and to others and contribute to building connection with ourselves and others. I'm so excited to get to share this with others and get in touch again with our inner playful child.
