We weren’t even supposed to be racing this weekend… 👀

Saturday testing showed we had the pace to run at the front, so we decided to give it a shot.

That meant a very late call-up for Sunday, with Dad away mechanicing Ami Gualtieri a huge thank you to Lucas Ellingham dad for stepping in and spanner-ing for me. 🙌

Heat 1: P22 → P7 🔥
Heat 2: Pole → P8
Final: P19 → P7 → P8

The final was a proper fight. From P19 I worked my way all the way up to P7, before being taken out of the way with two laps to go and eventually finishing P8.

Not the result we were chasing, but front-running pace all weekend, plenty of racing, and a lot to take away from it.

A weekend with front-running pace from start to finish.

The results don't quite show the pace we had, but that's racing. Plenty to learn from this weekend, and plenty to take forward.

No complaints. No regrets. We gave it everything and loved the challenge of racing at the sharp end.

A strong day with the pace right at the front:

🔥 Warm Up — P7
⚡ Qualifying — P5 — less than a tenth from pole
🏁 Heat 1 — P9
💪 Heat 2 — P4

Really happy with the pace and performance today. Now it’s all about finals day.

Strong first day at Whilton Mill for the final round of The Kart Championship in Junior Rotax. 🏁

We’ve shown top-five pace all day, finishing less than a tenth off P1, a very positive start against a seriously competitive field.

Now it’s all about tomorrow. Qualifying + two heats. Time to put the pace into results. 💪🏁

🏁 THE KART CHAMPIONSHIP | WHILTON MILL

A change of class for the final round of The Kart Championship.

This weekend Jacob steps away from the Junior Primo Championship and moves into the Main Junior class at Whilton Mill. 🏁

A different challenge, a different grid and a great opportunity to put everything he’s been learning into practice.

Looking forward to seeing what he can do. 👊

One of Jacob’s strongest Junior Rotax weekends yet. 🏁

Top-five pace throughout the entire weekend at Trent Valley Kart Club, despite one small mistake in qualifying leaving him P45 in the Intermediate classification going into Saturday night.

Sunday was all about fighting forwards.

Starting deep in the pack, Jacob spent the day picking his way through the field, making up position after position and showing some seriously impressive racecraft and overtaking along the way.

The final result doesn't reflect the pace we had, but we're extremely happy with the performance, the pace and especially the overtaking.

At just 13 and only eight months into Junior Rotax, weekends like this show just how quickly Jacob is developing.
