What are the differences between Smart Glass and Smart Film?

Why don't we start with what's similar? Smart Glass and Smart Film both work in the same way using PDLC technology to go from clear to frosted. They are also both a service offered by the UK's number one, Priviglaze, so you can rest assured you're receiving the highest quality installation.

Smart Glass is a standalone material with built-in smart properties. It is often manufactured as one complete unit.

Smart Film is applied to existing glass windows, it is ideal for situations where the glass cannot be replaced.

Keep your Smart Film clean with Priviglaze!

1️⃣ Avoid Chemicals - Do not use cleaners which contain Hydrofluoric or Phosphoric acid as they are corrosive to the glass surface..🧼
2️⃣ Avoid the Corners - Do not allow cleaning solutions to come into contact with the edges of the Smart Film.

3️⃣ Avoid Light and Heat - Do not clean the Smart Film when it is hot or in direct sunlight. This can cause damage to the film.
