Such a good weekend at GYG this weekend for the access karting championship in Wales! Big progress made after lots of hard work! I started at the back of the grid of 32 on novice plated and climbed to 18th place taking 1st place Novice!

Just doing what I love the most
So 1st Round at Whilton Mill didn’t go as planned… 🫣 lovely weekend meeting new people and lots of support from other karters! Few issues with the engine but sorted ready for the final then Boom! Taken out on the first corner! 🫣 that’s how you get some air!
First time in a big junior championship in my new kart!
It started amazing
Practice started 16th ended 1st place with fastest lap set!
Heat 1 - started 18th finished 11th
HEAT 2 started 18 finished 5th
Heat 3 DNS due to engine issues
Then the final came which i was super nervous on a grid of 32 however on the first corner i was taken out by another driver! And it was a big bump! Yup that’s me kart 60!
I ended up with a bruised hand, sore back and being winded with a bent axel! but i came off track ok & well as there was a super crash later in the race!
Thanks to my dad Bruce for everything you’ve done for me this weekend! I couldn’t do what i love without you!
Onwards we go!! 💪🏻
