Lots of excitement here at New Roots with our first batch of veg boxes finally heading out from the new team!

People often ask to see what they look like, so here they are looking absolutely beautiful 😋 ( email [email protected] if you'd be interested in recieving one of our amazing organic boxes! )

If anyone would be interested in joining our amazing team of cyclists, please drop us a message on the page as well - we'd love to have you as part of our community.

Just to keep all our lovely customers and friends in the loop -

New Roots has been struggling due to loving and hard working coordinators moving on to new projects, which left us without the numbers we need to keep the shop running.

Luckily, we have found a full new team of enthusiastic veg lovers and so our veg box service is restarting as soon as possible (if you'd like to recieve one, please get in touch!).

The shop WILL be reopening, but as our new team are partly tied up with other projects we won't be able to do this until mid-September or early October. As far as we're concerned, the sooner the better - we'll make sure to announce this once we can be certain.

We are closing for August!

Due to our low staffing, we have taken the decision to close for August, so that we can have a holiday.

We hope you all make the most of the brilliant weather and enjoy your summer!

New Roots Radical Library has got new badges and plenty of summer reading for you! Drop in for a cuppa tea or our Zapatista grown coffee and a book in our sunny garden!

This is my last shift in New Roots after a year and a half of volunteering then coordinating in this lovely space! Thanks to all the amazing volunteers and super friendly costumers who make this lil shop a special one 🌷🥦🍑🍋

As one of my last little projects the plant section in the shop has become permanent and will hopefully grow with time! 🌱

There will also be some exciting Zero Waste news coming later in the year... Stay tuned!

**REDUCED SUMMER OPENING HOURS AT NEW ROOTS**

A lot of people have been asking if we're going to be closing the shop this summer.

We won't be, however we will be operating on a reduced hours basis starting on the 1st of July. Make sure to give us feedback about these hours, we'll be back to buisness as usual in September.

Monday -- 10am-6pm
Tuesday -- 11am-3pm
Wednesday -- 10am-6pm
Thursday -- 11am-3pm
Friday -- 11am-3pm
Saturday --11am-3pm

We're also looking for some casual volunteers to join the New Roots family! Come and get involved with a co-operatively run shop and space dedicated to promoting fairer food and sustainable living.

People always ask what our boxes are like so we took some rather blurry photos of them this week. It's medium veg, medium fruit and veg, small veg and a large veg. As always a massive thank you to all our cyclists and customers 🚴🥕🍅🍑🥑
