The Roving Bar is a family run business, delivering cocktail bar quality drinks, along with a range of local Sheffield beers directly to your door.
I set the Roving Bar up in 2021 to provide fantastic quality cocktails and beers for home delivery to the people of Sheffield. Originally from the West coast the Scotland, I moved to London in 2013 to further my career in childcare. I spent 8 years living in London and during that time made the most of the fantastic cocktail bars the City had to offer. My time in the capital ended in November 2020
when I moved to my husband’s home city of
Sheffield and welcomed my beautiful daughter to the world. As my maternity leave came to an end I was inspired to start a business I could run from home while looking after my little girl. As little Norah has grown up I have started to reintroduce the occasional cocktail treat back into my life. Unfortunately, cocktail bars are not a practical option for me and with budgetary constraints I wasn't in a position to buy all the individual ingredients. I tried the supermarket pre-mix options but was disappointed with the quality.
With the support of my family and friends I started some delicious market research to find the perfect pre-mixed cocktail. After several false starts I finally found the perfect mix at Liberation Cocktails and now I want to share their cocktails with you! This research, along with the my husband's experience from 9 years in the beer trade, gave me the perfect foundation to set up 'The Roving Bar' - Steel City's travelling bar.
The key principles of the business are to provide fantastic quality, premium alcoholic drinks and to hold customer service at the heart of everything we do.
Whether you just don't feel ready to hit the pubs yet, or if you fancy some mixologist grade cocktails in the garden with friends, I am confident that we have the choice for you.
