Today is World Mental Health Day, the Mental Health Foundation work towards good mental health for all; as everyone knows, prevention is better than cure. Everything they do is focused on protecting people's mental health π
Top tips for staying mentally well:
π£ Talk about your feelings. Just being listened to can help you feel supported and less alone with any problems youβre going through.
π€ Get a good nightβs sleep. Sleep and mental health are closely linked: mental ill-health can affect your sleep, and poor sleep can affect your mental well-being.
π Eat well. A balanced diet can improve your sense of well-being and your mood.
ππΌββοΈ Stay active. Physical activity is not only good for your body, but itβs also great for your mind.
π©π½βπ€βπ©πΌ Supportive friends can help you deal with the stresses of life, make you feel cared for and offer a different view from whateverβs going on in your head.

GNR Fundraising for Tommy's β€

Our CK team took the 70k step challenge in their stride and smashed it last week, so much so we have more to show you all!!

We had over 60% participation rate for this campaign which is amazing - go team CK πͺπΌπ
In a couple of weeks we will be having a visit from the Well Being for Life team in association with County Durham & Darlington NHS Foundation Trust & Better Health At Work Award - County Durham to carry out some mini health checks for our employees as well as share some information on how to keep active and healthy - stay tuned on our socials! π

CK's 70K Step Challenge Recap πΆπΌββοΈπͺπΌ
Last week CK employees took part in a 70K step challenge as part of our Better Health At Work Award - County Durham submission, here are just a handful of pictures from the last week β
The CK team tracked their steps for 7 days, aiming for 10K steps a day to reach the 70K target at the end of the week!

CK Fruit Infusion Hydration Station !! ππππ₯¬
Here it is, another activity as part of our Better Health At Work Award - County Durham submission - a selection of fruit and herbs to add some flavour to our water without the need for sugary flavoured water or juice!
Hydrating ourselves is so important for our minds and our body, it is great to see all of our employees coming on board and making healthier choices π

This week all of our employees are taking part in a 70K steps (in a week) challenge as part of our Better Health At Work Award - County Durham submission πͺπΌ
Everyone has been tracking their steps on either their smart watches or pedometers that we provided to ensure everyone could take part!
We have been encouraging the team to go out for lunchtime walks as well as walks outside of work, it not only increases our step count but also improves our mental and physical health!
