BI-FOLD DOORS IN URGENT NEED OF ATTENTION AFTER DROPPING IN JUST 2 YEARS!
This bi-fold door system was installed just two years ago, but had already developed several issues affecting its operation. There were noticeable gaps at the top of the doors, along with the seal being compressed at the bottom of the hinge roller, which may have been an issue dating back to the original installation.

CLIENTS DESPERATE NOT TO HAVE THE COST OF NEW DOORS. THIS IS HOW I IMPROVISED.
The old lock had no direct replacement available, and the latch wasn't pulling fully into the keep due to missing strike plates.

As the existing doors were still in good condition and the client's were desperate to keep them, I recommended a universal locking mechanism to get them working securely again without replacing the doors.

WINDOW REPAIR- FAULTY GEARBOX REPLACED AND FIXED!
At first glance, you'd think the window handle needed replacing. However, after testing and demonstrating the issue, it was actually the gearbox mechanism inside the window that had failed.

I replaced the faulty gearbox, got everything adjusted correctly, and the window is now fully operational and working as it should.

GIVING AN OLD DOOR NEW LIFE
A few repairs are required to this door, some of which appear to have resulted from work previously carried out by an inexperienced locksmith.

CLIENT NOT ABLE TO LOCK BACK DOOR
Emergency call out for a client who was unable to lock their door as the bolt wouldn't push out. It was appearing as though something was obstructing the mechanism,

On inspection, the mechanism was found to be heavily clogged with grit. I cleaned this out, solved the issue without having to change any parts and saving the client money.
